Each trip is packed with our favorite spots and our favorite activities—all for your private group. Beach Ridge Glamping and Winter Night Mountain Biking
Saturday, January 16, 5 p.m. to Sunday, January 17, 10 a.m.

Certified mountain bike ride guide Jake Willing will be your host on our very first, all-inclusive, glamping experience. Hit the trails after dark with our super-bright bike lights and relax in the Beach Ridge Wheelhouse after your ride.

 All you need to bring is your mountain bike, helmet (required), reusable water bottle and your personal items. We will bring everything else. 

What’s Included?

  • Private guided mountain bike ride. Lights for night ride included.

Wake up renewed by your relaxing night in the Flatwood Commons Tree House and start your morning right with yoga by Metroparks certified yoga instructor Carrie Alexander. 

All you need to bring is a reusable water bottle and your personal items. We will bring everything else.

Welcome in the whimsy of winter with a guided painting class. No experience is necessary to create a winter-themed work of art. Step-by-step instruction is provided so you can sit back and let your creativity flow. 

After your masterpiece is complete, enjoy a gourmet dining experience curated just for you by Chef Erika Rapp of Registry Bistro. 

All you need to bring are your personal items. We will bring everything else.

Ballroom Dancing, Fine Dining, and Manor House Glamping
Saturday, February 6, 4:30 p.m. to Sunday, February 7, 10 a.m. 

You asked and we delivered. For the first time ever, Metroparks is hosting a Manor House overnight opportunity! Be one of the first few people to ever stay at the Manor House besides the Stranahan Family.

Start the evening with an hour of ballroom dancing provided by Paulette’s Studio of Dance. Choose from the following dance styles:

  • Swing dance was inspired by a revolution of jazz music and a favorite among social dancers of all ages. Learn the basics of this lively dance style in the inspirational setting of the Manor House.
  • Rumba is universally recognized as the dance of love and the “grandfather of the Latin Dances”. It has been a popular ballroom dance in this county since the 1930's. You and your partner will enjoy learning this slow, romantic and rhythmic dance style that will keep you dancing the night away.
  • Argentine Tango is one of the most fascinating of all dances. It’s a passionate dance that originated in Buenos Aires, Argentina in the early twentieth century. Learn how two people can move as one with the vibrant and playful dance steps.
  • Salsa dance is very popular all around the world. It’s an energetic and fun partner dance.  Learn the basics of this spicy Latin dance style along with some exciting dips and spins.

After you dance the night away, indulge yourselves in a gourmet dinner inspired by the decadence of the Manor House in its heyday.

Treat yourselves to a once-in-a-lifetime experience with Metroparks Toledo for this Valentine’s Day weekend. Local harpist, Susan Hedler, will enchant you with her serene songs as you enjoy a gourmet dining experience curated just for you by Chef Moussa Salloukh of Souk Mediterranean Kitchen.

Maumee River Glamping and Snowshoe Hike

Head out on an exhilarating winter hike along the Maumee River then come back to a relaxing evening stay on the river. If conditions are right, we’ll strap on some snowshoes to explore. 

All you need to bring is a reusable water bottle and your personal items. We will bring everything else.

Flashlight Tour and Manor House Glamping
Saturday, March 13, 5 p.m. to Sunday, March 14, 10 a.m. 

You asked and we delivered. For the first time ever, Metroparks is hosting a Manor House overnight opportunity! Be one of the first few people to ever stay at the Manor House besides the Stranahan Family. 

During your stay, you will take a private guided tour and see the Manor House as you have always wanted to… IN THE DARK. Using only a flashlight, your guide will take you through 32,000 square feet of darkness and show you restricted areas, secret spots, and more. 

All you need to bring are your personal items. We will bring everything else.

Camping 101: Winter Camping, Bend View Shelter
Saturday, March 27, 5 p.m. to Sunday, March 28, 10 a.m. 

Situated on a 90-degree bend in the Maumee River, the Bend View Shelter offers one of the most breath-taking views of the river. Hike in to the shelter to enjoy a quiet night and a crisp winter morning on the river. The Bend View Shelter is a three-sided, open-air shelter. We will be tent camping inside the shelter. The hike in to the shelter is 1.4 miles one way. Participants will be required to carry clothing and personal gear in a backpack. Tents and other camping gear will be transported by a support vehicle. Dinner and a light breakfast will be provided, but participants should bring their own snacks if desired. 

All participants and staff must wear masks and abide by proper social distancing guidelines for the duration of the program. Mask breaks are allowed when appropriate. Participants must bring their own mask. 

Backpacks, tents, sleeping bags, and sleeping bags are available to borrow.
