As part of Watershed Weekend, join Metroparks Toledo and Leadership Toledo for the first Riverwalkers Community Walk on Sunday, June 14. The Riverwalkers Community Walk will be a four-mile bridge-to-bridge walk along the Glass City Riverwalk. Explore the evolving Toledo riverfront, discover restoration projects and new greenspaces, and experience the progress happening along the Maumee River.
The Glass City Riverwalk is helping reshape Toledo’s riverfront, and Watershed Weekend is a chance to be part of that momentum. We’re inviting Leadership Toledo to step in as Riverwalk Ambassadors and help champion this exciting moment for our community. This is a simple, meaningful way to get involved. Ambassadors will learn more about the Riverwalk project, help share its story, and serve as a welcoming presence during the Riverwalkers Community Walk on Sunday, June 14 at 1 p.m.
Before the event, ambassadors are invited to join Metroparks team members for a guided Riverwalk tour to learn about the project, receive key talking points, and ask questions. It’s an easy, low-commitment opportunity to support a transformational project, encourage others to take part, and help build enthusiasm for all that’s happening during Watershed Weekend – now and into the future.
