The Ribbon is open daily. All Sessions are 2 hours with 30 minute ice resurfacing breaks between.

Extended Hours of Operations: The Ribbon will open for extended hours of operation during Thanksgiving (Nov. 24-29), Holidays at The Ribbon (Dec. 19-January 3), MLK Jr. Day Holiday Weekend (Jan. 16-19) and Presidents Day Holiday Weekend (Feb. 13-16).
*Family Skate: Wednesdays feature a 3-hour family session during a non-peak time, just $5 per person including skate rentals.
**Holidays at The Ribbon: Discounted rates for children, seniors and Metroparks Members are not valid during Holidays at The Ribbon due to increased staffing and extended hours of operation.

About The Ribbon
The 1,000-foot long Ribbon is a paved, loop trail that is refrigerated in winter to provide 25,000-square-feet of ice skating surface with rolling hills and soft curves. It includes a 5,000-square-foot ice skating area called the Pond that is suitable for beginning skaters and events. Fourteen miles of tubing under the pavement supplies refrigerant to the surface, while a Zamboni ice resurfacing machine maintains a smooth skating surface.
In warm weather, The Ribbon transforms into a multi-purpose trial that will be free to use for roller skating, roller blading, kick scooters and balance bikes. The Ribbon is generously supported by the Hylant Family Foundation.
