Day in the Life?
This is a fast paced, service oriented job. You can expect to keep Glass City Metropark clean by servicing restrooms and collecting trash. You’ll also help prepare for and clean up after our many rentals at Glass City – whether buildings, shelters, or cabanas. 

Join Metroparks Toledo as a Seasonal Environmental Education Programmer. In this role, you bring summer camp experiences to life for youth ages 5 to 14. You’ll help campers experience the outdoors (maybe for the first time) and create an environment where parks are common ground for everyone.

You’ll welcome campers, lead daily nature and outdoor skills activities, and help campers have a great time at camp.

Attention High School Students! Join Metroparks Toledo as a Seasonal Junior Camp Counselor. In this role, you bring the Connections Camp experience to life for youth ages 5 – 14. You’ll help campers experience the outdoors (maybe for the first time) and create an environment where parks are common ground for everyone. 

Day in the Life?
You’ll welcome campers, lead daily activities, and help campers have a great time at camp. You’ll have Camp Counselors around when you need help. 

Join Metroparks Toledo as a Seasonal Cultural Programmer. In this role, you bring the Canal Experience to life. You tell the story of life on the Miami & Erie Canal and Ludwig Mill and its significance to the region’s natural and cultural history. 

Day in the Life?
You’ll be preparing the canal and lock area, leading groups through the Canal Experience – whether field trips, tour groups, or the public. You’ll operate the historical mill equipment. You will also clean the area and perform light maintenance to keep the boat and locks in working order.

Full Time, 40-hour work week (will require work in the evenings, holidays, and weekends).

Join Metroparks Toledo as the Riverwalk Activation Manager. In this role, you ensure smooth execution of large events and daily coordination of the Riverwalk’s busiest areas. Working closely with teams across Metroparks and with external partners, you’ll help deliver great park experiences for millions of visitors annually.

Day in the Life?
Every day is different. You may be coordinating with community partners and staff to prepare for large public events, supporting a community organization hosting a public gathering, working with park staff and in-park vendors to ensure the Riverwalk's busiest areas run smoothly during peak visitor hours and large scale events, reviewing event plans and troubleshooting logistical issues, evaluating permit applications and supporting Metroparks initiatives or community-led activations at other locations across the Metroparks.

Four - 10-hour work days (Wednesday through Sunday).

Day in the Life? 
This is a fast paced, service-oriented job. You can expect to keep Glass City Metropark clean by servicing restrooms and collecting trash. You’ll also help prepare for and clean up after our many rentals at Glass City – whether buildings, shelters, or cabanas. 

Join Metroparks Toledo in Park Maintenance. In this role, you keep our parks running smoothly. You’re the onsite expert of all skilled maintenance within the park. When needed, you’ll also pitch in and help the rest of the park staff ensure we maintain our “Clean, Safe, and Natural” promise.

Day in the Life?
No two days are the same – but you can expect to be the “go to” person for all maintenance issues – broken lawn mowers, fire pit issues, vehicle troubleshooting, fixing a safety issue, carpentry repairs, or preventative maintenance. You’ll have to opportunity to teach other park staff on maintenance best practices.
