Learn & Play

Find new ways to learn and play at a Metropark.

Metroparks offer a number of free or low-cost educational programs and events for children and adults. Our group and school programming is a great way to learn outside the traditional classroom setting. You’re sure to learn something new while gaining an even greater appreciation for the natural world.

Several Metroparks provide opportunities for traditional fitness activities like hiking, running and biking or playing a ballgame. Others accommodate traditional excursions for outdoor enthusiasts like kayaking, canoeing, hunting and fishing and world-class birding.

We offer several special seasonal events and programs that provide even more opportunities to connect with nature and one another.
