Metroparks are open to everyone. Our parks are diverse, with varying natural characteristics, and people enjoy them in different ways. At Metroparks, we value and respect the diversity of our natural spaces, as well as the diverse community that enjoys them. Outside Culture Talks are brief interviews with people from different cultural backgrounds who share their personal experiences with the outdoors. By listening to how others appreciate our parks, we hope to increase cultural awareness and appreciation for our differences.
In the first installment of Outside Culture Talks, Felica Clark speaks with Jay Black, Jr., CEO of Pathway, a non-profit organization that seeks to reduce poverty by providing comprehensive services that create pathways to self-sufficiency.
In the second installment of Outside Culture Talks, Shannon Hughes speaks with Dr. Uma Savanoor, MD.
