Research Permits

Research on Metropark property for scientific study is welcome and encouraged because it helps to build the collective knowledge base used for managing the land and wildlife. Research also assists the park district's education efforts.

To the right are guidelines for conducting research, and a permit application. A permit is required when conducting research on Metroparks property. Also maps that show where research is permitted in certain parks with sensitive natural areas (such as ground-nesting bird habitat) can be found to the right.
