Metroparks Camps
Any time of the year is prime time for adventure, building new skills, making memories and learning about the natural world around you. Whether it's kayaking at Blue Creek in the summer or exploring a winter wonderland at Oak Openings by snowshoe in winter, Metroparks offers opportunities for kids to connect with nature and get outside all year long.

Payment and Cancellation Policy for Metroparks Programs and Camps - Payment is expected in full at the time the reservation is made, unless otherwise stated. In the event of a cancellation or illness, refunds are issued as follows. If the cancellation is received more than 30 days prior to the start of the camp session or program, a full refund will be issued. If the cancellation is received 15-30 days prior to camp session or program, 50 percent of the payment price will be refunded. If the notification is received less than 15 days in advance, no refund will be issued.

Gobble, gobble, get outside and explore! With Thanksgiving just around the corner, everyone has turkey on their mind. Learn more about this native bird that makes its home in our Metroparks, and take a hike to look for turkey evidence. Enjoy a fun-filled day in the park with hands-on games, nature crafts, and exciting discoveries for all ages.

School's Off, Parks On Mini-Camp: Glass City's Winter Wonders (Ages 5 to 10)

The breeze is brisk, the trees are bare, and there's winter wonder in the air. So bundle up, get outside, and explore this exciting time of year with Metroparks mini-camps. Each camp day is a unique adventure with nature-based winter activities, including nature strolls, outdoor skills, arts & crafts, games, and more. Explore the winter wonders of Glass City Metropark! Ice skate on The Ribbon, roast a marshmallow over a campfire, and hike through our newest Metropark. Warm up inside with crafts and games inspired by the winter season.

The breeze is brisk, the trees are bare, and there’s winter wonder in the air. So bundle up, get outside, and explore this exciting time of year with Metroparks Mini-camps. Each camp day is a unique adventure with nature-based winter activities, including nature strolls, outdoor skills, arts & crafts, games, and more. Nature Play Palooza Mini-Camp: It’s all fun and games at this mini-camp! Build a fort, play animal-inspired games, and make a nature craft. Hike through the Oak Openings forest and roast a hotdog over a campfire.

Each camp day is a unique adventure with nature-based winter activities, including nature strolls, outdoor skills, arts & crafts, games, and more. Have you ever seen a turtle paint? Participants will meet a turtle and watch him paint a masterpiece. This camp is all about exploring art inspired by nature. Campers will also make their own ice tie-dyed bandana for a cool, colorful keepsake! Explore the magic of winter where kids enjoy outdoor adventures, games, and creative activities.

Celebrate 2027 early at Wildwood with a Nature’s Eve Party, enjoying games, crafts, songs, and a winter hike honoring local plants and wildlife.
