ONLINE PROPOSALS for Metroparks Toledo, Fall 2026 Reforestation Project will be received until Friday, February 13, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. local time, at which time all bids will be publically opened / shared through the PlanetBids website.
THE SCOPE OF WORK consists of the reforestation of approximately 4.7 acres of parkland on four sites within Glass City Metropark, Lucas County, Ohio with 200 ball and burlap (B&B) trees. Contractor shall furnish and install trees, watering bags, and tree staking/guying system per specifications. All planting areas included in this reforestation project are currently open parkland. Reforestation activities under this project must be completed by December 1, 2026. The bidder must be a tree-planting contractor licensed and registered to work in the City of Toledo and pre-qualified with Metroparks Toledo in order to perform this work. Pre-qualification status must be in force at the time of bid, at the time of award, and through the life of the construction contract. SUBMISSION: Bids for this Project will be accepted via e-bid only through the Metroparks' PlanetBids portal. Each bidder shall be responsible for submitting its electronic bid before the bid deadline. All paper bids will be rejected unless, in its sole discretion, the Metroparks determines good causes exists to accept the paper bid, and the bid is submitted before the bid deadline.
No bidder may withdraw its bid within thirty (30) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.

ONLINE PROPOSALS for Metroparks Toledo Hardwood Tree Removal, Spencer & Springfield Townships, Lucas County, Ohio will be received until Thursday, February 19, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. local time, at which time all bids will be publically opened / shared through the PlanetBids website.
THE SCOPE OF WORK consists of approximately 52.2 acres of hardwood tree removal for the purpose of habitat restoration at various locations. Work will include tree felling and full removal of logs, tops, and cut stumps. All debris from felled trees is to be removed from the project site. A site visit is encouraged prior to bid submission. ONLINE PROPOSALS for Metroparks Toledo Forestry Mulching, Spencer and Springfield Townships, Lucas County, Ohio, will be received until Thursday, February 19, 2026 at 1:00 p.m., local time, at which time all bids will be publically opened / shared through the PlanetBids website.
THE SCOPE OF WORK consists of approximately 75.6 acres of forestry mulching (mastification) of woody vegetation for the purpose of habitat restoration at various locations. Work will include mulching small trees, shrubs, and stems, level with the ground. Mulch will remain onsite. A site visit is encouraged prior to bid submission.
