Bikes, Assistance Available to Get Everyone on the Trail
Take a spin around a park on a bicycle, and take a new friend with you.
Medical Mission in Motion, a local organization, provides cycle rides to people who, for medical or other reasons, are unable to ride a bike. Metroparks is pleased to support MMiM’s effort to make this new service available at Wildwood Preserve.
The program provides trained, volunteer pedal pushers with Duet tandem wheelchair bicycles to give a lift to those who would like to enjoy the fresh air, social interaction and beautiful scenery of Wildwood.
Training sessions are now being held for volunteers. See Medical Mission in Motion’s Facebook page for dates and times.
To schedule a ride, or to inquire about volunteering, there are two ways to reach them: Call 419-904-9428 or email MMiMscheduling@gmail.com.
