Exhibit to Feature Paintings of Parks
Watercolor and oil paintings of Metroparks scenes by artist Larry Golba will be on exhibit starting Friday, April 6, at Fuller Art House,5679 Main St. Sylvania. An opening reception is from 6 to 9 p.m.
Mr. Golba said the exhibit, "A Walk in the Park," is a collection of paintings inspired by the many walks he and his wife, Lynn, have taken in the Metroparks.
"The Metroparks are something that's important to us and to a lot of our friends," he said, adding that he and Lynn used to run in the parks and still enjoy walking and kayaking.
The show, which runs through May 15, will include about 30 paintings of scenes at Wildwood Preserve, Secor, Side Cut and Middlegrounds Metroparks.
Mr. Golba's paintings will be for sale at the gallery, where he teaches classes on Saturdays.
