Olympic Skater to Bring Fundraiser to The Ribbon at Glass City

Olympic Gold Medalist Scott Hamilton and the Scott Hamilton CARES Foundation will host a Sk8 to Elimin8 Cancer® fundraising event Friday, January 23 at The Ribbon ice skating trail at Glass City Metropark.

Skaters of all ages can join Scott Hamilton on the ice for the Frozen 5K – 20 laps around the Ribbon – from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. or from 7 to 9 p.m. in honor of those impacted by cancer. Registration is $35 and includes a Sk8 to Elimin8 Cancer® T-shirt. Participants who raise $250 or more will earn additional incentive gifts. The charity has set a fundraising goal of $10,000.

The event, supporting innovative cancer research and compassionate cancer care, is a fundraiser benefitting The Scott Hamilton CARES Foundation and Nationwide Children’s Hospital - Toledo.
