The Flying Tigers Remote Control Model Club will take flight in two demo days, August 5 and 6:

• Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Wiregrass Lake Metropark. The Maumee Valley Boat Club will join them for on-water demonstrations of their remote control vessels.
• Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at their home turf at Westwinds Metropark.

Both days, visitors will be able to try their hand at the Academy of Model Aeronautics Flight Simulator.

Remote control aircraft and watercraft are only permitted in the Metroparks during special events, so this is a rare opportunity to see them. A special flying area is maintained by Flying Tigers at Westwinds, where the club partners with Metroparks to maintain the park.

Wiregrass Lake will be closed to all other watercraft during Saturday's event.
