Your Guide to Halloween Events

Crisp mornings, colorful scenery, sunny skies and family Halloween events are all part of fall in your Metroparks. Following is a list of family-friendly holiday events.

Roll Into Fall at The Ribbon

Retro Ween, Friday, October 11 from 7 to 10 p.m. at Glass City Metropark, will be a fun start to the Halloween season (and end to the roller skating season). Free. No reservations needed. Skates, rollerblades and kick scooters available for rent. During the skate, Q105’s Eric Chase will run a classic “Spin the Pin” game where guests could win tickets to see P!nk in Detroit. Bring your mat and come at 6 p.m. for a beginner-friendly yoga session by Toledo Mindfulness Institute.

Haunted Bike Ride Oct. 12

The Family Haunted Ride will be a spooktacular adventure on two wheels, next Saturday, October 12. Arrive anytime between 10 a.m. and noon. Pedal through the scenic fall trails of Secor Metropark and trick-or-treat along the way at candy stops. Maumee Valley Adventures is partnering with Metroparks Toledo to host this family-friendly, Halloween bike ride (2.8 mile). Kids activities, a costume contest and pictures of all participants. Just $3/person. Register in advance.

Ghosts of Providence
Returns Oct. 18-19

Spirits of a real ghost town, Providence, Ohio, come out every year to haunt the historic Isaac Ludwig Mill and canal boat. At Ghosts of Providence, October 18 and 19 at Providence Metropark, participants will explore the haunted history around the park by lantern light. Fee: $7/person. Register for a timeslot.

Eerie Manor Hours
Tours  Oct. 18-26

Some say the Wildwood Manor House is haunted. Explore the 30,000-square-foot mansion and see for yourself.

Eerie Manor, a spooky spectacle in the Wildwood Manor House, is back for a third year October 18-26 from 2 to 8 p.m. daily. More than 30 spaces will be decorated for the occasion. Free. No reservations needed.

Trick 'R Treehouse Oct. 27

Wear your costume and come to the Oak Openings Beach Ridge Area for Halloween candy and fun at the treehouses, Sunday, October 27 from 4:45 to 8 p.m. Volunteers at the Cannaley Treehouse Village will hand out candy to trick-or-treaters. Free.
