Bend View Shelter

Park Entrance Address: 10040 S. River Road, Waterville, Ohio 43566. Located along the Towpath between Farnsworth and Providence Metroparks.

Getting to the Facility: The parking is approximately 1.4 miles west from the shelter. There are no parking spaces at the facility but there are 25 or more at the Bend View parking lot area, located 1.4 miles west of the shelter.

Tables and Chairs: There are two picnic tables and four wooden benches, two at each fireplace.

Alcohol: Alcohol is not permitted at this facility or in any Metropark.

Playground: There is no playground available.

Electrical Outlets: There is no electricity available at this shelter.

Grill(s): There are no grills available, but there are two fireplaces.

Fireplace: There are two fireplaces.

Restrooms: There is one pit toilet less than 1/4 mile east of the shelter along the Towpath Trail.

Trash: There is one trash can and one recycling can.

Shelter Style: Covered and partially enclosed.

Additional Information: The site has no water, no electricity and must be hiked to from the Bend View parking lot, 1.4 miles away to the west. There is no vehicle access or parking on site for this shelter. Located along the scenic Towpath trail, the shelter has the best view of the bend in the Maumee River.
