Howard Marsh Kayak Rentals

Kayak Share Opens Saturday, May 23, 2026 through Labor Day.

The region’s first kayak-share, installed at Howard Marsh in Jerusalem Township, is based on the bike share concept. Users rent boats by the hour using a smartphone. Six boats, along with paddles and personal flotation devices, are secured in lockers that open once payment is made through a cell phone app. 

Enjoy the unique experience of paddling a six-mile water trail through the marsh, and the convenience of not having to haul your own boat to the park. 

Single Kayaks can be rented by the hour, $20

Instructions:

• Download the LINKA GO app to your smartphone. 
• Create an account and accept the Terms of Service and Kayak Use Waiver.
• Unlock Kayak Locker
  • Choose Start Rental
  • Enter the 4-digit locker ID found on the locker door
  • Tap locker door to wake the lock, do not press the power button as instructed.
  • Wait for the lock to open
  • Open the locker and remove kayak
• Return Your Rental
  • Return the kayak, paddle and life vest to the original locker
  • Open App, select the Lock at the bottom of the screen
  • Tap end ride
  • Hold the button on slide to end rental
  • Hold the locker door closed until lock secures

Kayak Sizes/Weight Capacity

• Single Kayak 11-1/2 foot in length and have a weight capacity of 350 lbs.
• Single Kayak 9-1/2 foot in length and have a weight capacity of 300 lbs.
• Tandem Kayaks have a weight capacity of 500 lbs.
