Created by local artist, Eric Michelsen, this piece was inspired by what he saw in workers toiling in the local manufacturing companies in The Glass City. Knowing that his grandfather worked at the local Jeep factory for over 44 years, and aware of all the other manufacturing companies in the area that had workers toiling every day. The artist created this piece as a tribute to those workers, who worked a lifetime in those manufacturing jobs in Toledo. The artist also thought the best way to portray this was in the medium of glass, as a tribute to his home town.
