My dad found this horsebit in our backyard when I has about 4 years old, and been mine ever since, wherever I'm living. I grew up in Millbury, Ohio on Kearsley st. Two blocks are on one side of Woodville Rd and two blocks are on the other. I lived with my parents and two brothers on the downtown Millbury side, with my papa Tom and Grandma a few blocks down on Cherry, and my Grandma Dixie, Uncle Richie, Aunts Deb and Nin and cousins on the other side of Kearsley. I just moved back to Toledo, having been gone for the prior ten years. This bit came with me to China, Illinois, Washington, and California. My Aunt Nin is still on Kearsley, but I'm still tied to Millbury and go there whenever I can, even if it's just to drive through. The bit has always tied me to what I consider my ancestral home.
