The tiles are representative of Lourdes University. For several years, the tiles were distributed to our incoming freshmen. While no longer a custom, they continue to symbolize our university's values-based education. Since 1958, Lourdes University (originally Lourdes Junior College) has been providing a values-based education to the Toledo community and beyond. From classrooms to board rooms, our graduates serve in the areas of education, health care, social services, criminal justice, business and the liberal arts. Lourdes Gray Wolves serve in countless leadership roles in our community. Our students, graduates, faculty, and staff leave their mark in so many ways: creating visual beauty in murals and artwork; reverencing and maintaining the beauty of our environment; honoring the beauty and dignity of each person they encounter and serve. We proudly extend the legacy of our Sponsors, the Sisters of St. Francis. From our campus in Sylvania, our graduates carry our Franciscan values of Community, Learning, Reverence and Service into NW Oho and throughout the world.
