Childhood Soda Pops. I have many fond memories from my childhood, riding in the 57 Chevy along the Maumee River on old Route 424, on our way to visit Aunt Bertha and Uncle Jack in East Toledo. We always had so much fun going downtown to Tiedtke's, Lions, the other L's and The Spitzer Building, where we'd hang out while our parents shopped. Often, we would end up at Walbridge Park, enjoying a family picnic before going to the Toledo Zoo. Regardless of where we ended up, we were always excited to get our soda pops. Mohr's Root Beer was a favorite, along with Colas from Variety Club. We would stick our tongues out at each other after our orange and cherry pops. Oh how we'd laugh.
