Mohr Brothers Bottling Company started when three brothers – Edward, Henry, and William - were toying around in a very small garage perfecting their craft and experimenting with recipes for soda pop. In 1902, the Mohr Brothers officially began operating as soft drink manufacturers and bottlers. In later years, following trends in the industry, they expanded their offerings to 7-1/2, 9, 10, 12, 16, and 32-ounce bottles. By 1904, the Mohrs moved to a larger facility down the road at the corner of La Grange and Palmer streets. In 1992, Richard Mohr (then President) made the most difficult decision - to close Mohr Brothers after a decades of beverage production. Richard Mohr was my Father and I have many many fond memories of The Pop Shop.
