The Ribbon Rental Equipment & Hours
The 2025 roller season opens in early April and runs daily through mid-October. The Ribbon is free to enjoy during park hours with your own roller equipment unless a pre-planned Special Event requires admission. This 1,000-foot-long roller trail is open for roller skating, rollerblading, kick scooters (non-motorized), balance bikes for young children, and walking, and it is wheelchair accessible. Please note that skateboards are not permitted.

Need equipment? Our rental concession inside Market Hall offers rentals for roller skates, rollerblades, Micro Kickboard Scooters and Micro Balance Bikes.
🔹 Climb to New Heights
Try the 32-foot Mercy Health FitPark Climb rock wall every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from May 23 – August 30. Rock climbing passes are available inside Market Hall rental counter.

About The Ribbon
The Ribbon, supported by the Hylant Family Foundation, is a 1,000 foot loop trail featuring rolling hills and soft curves for a uniquely Metroparks roller skating experience. The Ribbon is connected to a 5,000 square foot skating pond that offers a traditional rink experience for beginners and a series of special events and programs. The Ribbon is refrigerated during the winter months to provide a unique ice skating experience on nearly 25,000 square feet of skating surface.
