Ice Skates
Whether you’re venturing onto the ice with experience or hitting the ice for the first time, The Ribbon has rental skates for you! Socks are required, and we recommend thin socks or tights. Thick socks can make feet sweat and lead to freezing.
Figure and hockey skates are available to rent. Which skate you choose depends on your personal skate goals. Equipment is only available at The Ribbon rental counter.
- Youth & Adult Figure Skates
- Figure skates are built for spinning, jumping, and footwork. They feature longer, flatter blades and toe picks (saw-like teeth at the end of the blade). These rental figure skates provide lateral support to help keep ankles straight.
- Figure Skates sizes:
- Youth: 8 - 13
- Adults (Men’s sizing): 1 – 15
- It is recommended that women downsize two sizes from their street shoes and men downsize one size.
- Adult Hockey Skates
- Hockey skates are built for speed, agility, control, and quick movements, featuring short, wide blades that are more curved at the end. These rental hockey skates provide lateral support to help keep ankles straight. Skates come in a variety of adult and youth sizes.
- Hockey Skates sizes:
- Youth: 10 - 13
- Adults (Men’s sizing): 1 – 15
- It is recommended women downsize two sizes from their street shoes and men downsize one size.
