Kayaks for Adults
Try kayaking with our 1 hour beginner-friendly try-it sessions, expand your skills with kayaking classes, or enjoy unique paddling opportunities in your Metroparks with history paddles, evening and sunset paddles, and river paddles at many of our river parks. All boats, lifejackets, paddles, and paddling safety gear are provided on all paddles. Adult-sized sea kayaks, recreational kayaks, and sit-on-top kayaks are available at all paddling opportunities. Kayaks sized for children and a tandem kayak are available at Blue Creek Metropark paddles. Adaptive paddling gear is available by request at any paddle.
Sea kayaks: Wilderness Tsunami and Perception Expression kayaks available in a range of sizes, from 13.5-15 feet in length with low, medium, and high volume models available. Max weight up to 350 lbs. Recreational kayaks: Perception Prodigy and Perception Joyride models available, all 12 feet in length. Max weight up to 350 lbs. Sit-on-top: Wilderness Tarpon model available. 14 feet in length, max weight up to 375 lbs. Paddles are available in a range of sizes to accommodate all heights. Personal flotation devices are available that accommodate chest sizes up to 60 inches.
