Listen Talk System
The ListenTALK system is a two-way communication system that allows program groups to communicate clearly and easily when in challenging environments that may involve background noise or distance. This system is frequently used on hikes, Explorer Trolley rides, or behinds the scenes tours. It can also be utilized as an assistive listening aid, as it pairs with many hearing assistance devices. The ListenTALK system can be requested for any program (excluding water-based programming).
The system consists of a small, light-weight transceiver that is worn around the neck on a lanyard and attaches to an ear piece worn over the ear. Incoming communications are heard through the ear piece, and users can speak to the group by pushing a button on the transceiver.
Equipment available at any Metroparks Program by request and covered by the program fee.
