Tandem Kayaks
Try kayaking with our 1 hour, beginner-friendly try-it sessions, expand your skills with kayaking classes, or enjoy unique paddling opportunities in your Metroparks with history paddles, evening and sunset paddles, and river paddles at many of our river parks. All boats, lifejackets, paddles, and paddling safety gear are provided on all paddles. A tandem kayak and kayaks sized for children are available at Blue Creek Metropark paddles. Adaptive paddling gear is available by request at any paddle. A tandem kayak can be available at any paddle by advanced request for adaptive reasons. Adult-sized sea kayaks, recreational kayaks, and sit-on-top kayaks are available at all paddling opportunities.
Tandem kayaks allow for two paddlers in one boat and can have many adaptive uses. Our tandem kayaks are Wilderness Polaris 180s, 18 feet long with a max weight of 550 lbs. Paddles are available in a range of sizes to accommodate all heights. Personal flotation devices are available that accommodate chest sizes up to 60 inches.
