The Woodland Pond Trail features a focal point for both visitors and wildlife. The pond, located near the Secor Center, has brown water caused by tannic acid in the leaves that drop into it each fall. The shrill whistle of a wood duck or the loud rattling cry of a kingfisher is sometimes heard nearby. Look for raccoon, deer, or other tracks along the banks. Turtles, frogs, tadpoles and harmless water snakes can also be seen.
Parking for this trail can be found at the Secor Center parking lot.
