The big barn at Blue Creek Metropark in Whitehouse is getting a new roof. The Board of Park Commissioners approved an agreement a contractor to remove the asphalt shingle roof and replace it with a metal roof. Work is expected to be complete in April. The barn was once part of the Toledo House of Corrections, a jail where inmates worked on the farm and quarry located on the property.
