Abby, Rilie and Lexie from Cadette Girl Scout Troop 10250 at st. Patrick of Heatherdowns School recently built house wren boxes for Swan Creek Preserve and Middlegrounds Metroparks as part of their Silver Award project.

Wrens are in need of safe nesting havens to protect their eggs because of a loss of habitat.

As part of their project, the girls also produced a brochure about house wrens and the boxes that they build.
