Kayak Cove and Adventure Boardwalk
The Kayak Cove and Adventure Boardwalk at Glass City Metropark, generously supported by Mercy Health, offers a unique boardwalk experience with a series of interactive bridges over the water, offering some of the best photo spots in town! The boardwalk surrounds the Kayak Cove, providing a safe and accessible access point for Maumee River paddling.
The Kayak Cove features a dock with a convenient ADA accessible roll-off launch - bring your own kayaks or rent one from our kayak share!
Glass City Metropark Kayak Share
The Glass City Metropark Kayak Share lockers will be available starting Friday, May 24, 2024 as part of our Opening Play! weekend celebration at Glass City Metropark & Riverwalk. See below for instructions on how to use our kayak share:
- Download the Movatic App on your smartphone
- Single Kayaks can be rented by the hour at $15 / hour
- All lockers include kayaks, paddles and personal floatation devices
Kayak Sizes/Weight Capacity
- Single Kayak 11-1/2 foot in length and have a weight capacity of 350 lbs.
- Single Kayak 9-1/2 foot in length and have a weight capacity of 300 lbs.
- Tandem Kayaks have a weight capacity of 500 lbs.
