Urban Butterfly Monitoring

Become a citizen scientist and join Metroparks for a scientific butterfly monitoring experience at Swan Creek Preserve.  This hike will model the process of gathering data which contributes to the larger, Ohio “Long-term Butterfly Monitoring Project,” sponsored by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Wildlife and The Ohio Lepidopterists.  Butterfly data collected over the last 12 years at Swan Creek Preserve has shown that even an urban park can have much butterfly diversity.
