About The Ribbon
The Ribbon, supported by the Hylant Family Foundation, is a 1,000 foot loop trail featuring rolling hills and soft curves for a uniquely Metroparks roller skating experience. The Ribbon is connected to a 5,000 square foot skating pond that offers a traditional rink experience for beginners and a series of special events and programs. The Ribbon is refrigerated during the winter months to provide a unique ice skating experience on nearly 25,000 square feet of skating surface.
The Ribbon is a 1,000-foot paved loop trail designed for year-round recreation at Glass City Metropark. During the winter months, the trail is refrigerated and transforms into a 1,000-foot ice skating trail, creating
a unique outdoor skating experience.
In warmer months, The Ribbon becomes a free, multi-purpose trail open for roller skating, roller blading, kick scooters, and balance bikes. Connected to The Ribbon is The Pond, a 5,000-square-foot mixed-use space used for skating, casual recreation, and special events. The Ribbon is generously supported by the Hylant Family Foundation.

Kids can explore the Grosbeak and Prairie Pollinator playgrounds or cool off at the Mini-Maumee Water Play area.
🔹Skate or Scoot The Ribbon Roller Trail
From April to October, bring your roller skates, rollerblades, or kick scooters to ride the 1,000 foot long roller trail.

Need equipment? Our rental concession inside Market Hall offers rentals for roller skates, rollerblades, Micro Kickboard Scooters and Micro Balance Bikes.
🔹Climb to New Heights
Try the 32-foot Mercy Health FitPark Climb rock wall every Friday through Sunday from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
🔹Refuel & Recharge
Enjoy delicious food and drinks from The Garden by Poco Piatti, conveniently located next to The Ribbon inside Market Hall. Open daily for lunch, dinner and treats.
