Market Hall and The Ribbon
Market Hall is the vibrant hub of activity at Glass City Metropark. With its guest amenities and food and beverage offerings, Market Hall is your go-to destination for a memorable park experience.
Market Hall is primarily used as a public space, though can be reserved by completing a Special Event/Activity Permit Request. Functions at Market Hall are primarily approved during certain non-peak seasons or hours.
Market Hall Hours
- October through April: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
- May through September: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
**Market Hall hours may be extended for various Special Events & Activities throughout the year. Market Hall may close early if inclement weather or other issues cause some park features like The Ribbon and the Mini-Maumee Water Play Area to close early.
The Garden by Poco Piatti
Market Hall features The Garden by Poco Piatti, open daily year round serving a family friendly menu of pizzas, wraps, bowls, desserts and offers full bar service.
The Garden provides restaurant service during normal hours and is the exclusive catering and beverage provider during special events & functions at Market Hall, The Ribbon and Cabana Village.
PLEASE NOTE: The Garden will operate with reduced hours from now through Thursday, May 23. Here are the updated hours:
- Monday-Thursday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Friday-Sunday 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Plan Your Event
- To inquire about planning an event at Market Hall or The Ribbon at Glass City Metropark, please fill out the Special Event/Activity Permit Request. Most Special Event Permits approved at Market Hall occur during weekdays, non-peak hours, spring and fall months and on certain weekdays during winter ice skating season.
- The Ribbon at Glass City Metropark is a mixed use area for recreation and open event space. To see more information about its primary functions, see here:
- Cabana Village features six cabanas along The Ribbon trail located conveniently between many park amenities, making it a favorite place for family gatherings and corporate outings year-round. To see more about renting a cabana, see here:
Amenities
- Restrooms are conveniently available during open hours
- Changing rooms are available for those ready to make a splash in our water play features
- Coin operated rental lockers are available to secure your items while you play the day away. Lockers are $0.50 each and good for the entire day!
- Equipment Rental
- April-October: During the warm weather months our rental concession inside Market Hall will rent roller skates, roller blades, and scooters to be used at The Ribbon or on our all-purpose trails at Glass City Metropark. For more information, visit Roller Season at The Ribbon.
- November-February - During the winter months our rental concession inside Market Hall will rent ice skates and skate aids to be used exclusively at The Ribbon at Glass City Metropark. For more information, visit Ice Skating Season at The Ribbon.
Water Play Features
Several water play features are located just outside Market Hall including the Rain Towers, Misting Boulders and the Mini-Maumee Discovery Play Area. General operating hours of the water features at Glass City Metroapark are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily*.
- Mini-Maumee Discovery Play Area
- Rain Towers – This unique public art installation is comprised of a group of five functional sculptures created by Toledo-based Graphite Design & Build and is the centerpiece of Rain Tower Plaza, generously supported by the Greater Toledo Community Foundation.
- Misting Boulders
*These features will be open daily from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Water features like the Mini-Maumee, Raintowers and Misting Boulders may be shut off temporarily for maintenance issues, water quality issues, and inclement weather. All water features at Glass City Metropark will be shut off if temperatures are below 70 degrees. Daily schedules are subject to change.

- Metroparks Toledo customer service staff is available Monday through Friday from 9am-5pm and Saturday from 8am-4pm at 419-407-9700. Please contact our customer service team to make reservations for a facility rental, reserve a spot in a Metroparks program, or speak with someone about your experience at the parks
- For non emergency questions or concerns outside of customer service hours please contact the Park Rangers non emergency line at 419-407-9718.
- In the event of an emergency call 9-1-1. Metroparks Rangers and/or other law enforcement officers will be dispatched.
