Wildwood Meadow Loop Trail

The Meadow Loop Trail leads through a very different but equally important natural area. The meadow is a bountiful source of food for seed eaters such as birds and mice, and for predators such as fox, owls and hawks. Little blue star, lupine, grasses and vetches grow on the higher, drier areas, while Joe-Pye-weed, gray dogwood and sensitive ferns abound in the moist areas. Wildlife is most often seen along the edges, where the meadow overlaps the thickets.
